I’m usually not much of a Target fan but I recently have scored big, especially this denim dress! I’ve worn it so much I’m about to buy a second. It was less then $30 and already I’ve worn it with several completely different outfits. It also comes in black. Thanks Target❤️
Wisconsin Weekend
What a great weekend in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. I love spending time just hanging out enjoying nature. The weather was beautiful thank goodness! I also got to catch up on my tea drinking and reading. There really is no better way to spend a sunny day.
This is only my second weekend at the new cabin and I’m still getting used to the trails around it. So far I haven’t done much exploring but plan to do more in the future.
I’m successfully on Day 8 of the Advocare 24 day challenge and am finally seeing some results. I can’t wait to see what lies at the end of the challenge for me!
Advocare 24-day Challenge and Low Fat Egg White Mini Quiche
Tomorrow will be Day 1 of the Advocare 24-Day Challenge! I cannot wait to begin. Advocare is the company behind the healthy energy drink mix “Spark” and many other great nutrition products. Tomorrow I’ll post a longer more detailed post about all the products but for now I’ll just share a recipe experiment.
So for lunch today I was low on ingredients but wanted to try something new. I came up with these egg white mini quiche cups. I’m not much of a cook but these turned out pretty great.
First I sprayed Pam in the muffin tins and added in the egg whites (which I seasoned with salt and pepper first). Next I cooked the tomatoes and spinach with olive oil over low heat. Then I evenly added the combination to the muffin tins. Finally I sprinkled cheese on top and baked at 350 for 35 minutes.
Although I wasn’t a huge fan of the tomatoes in them (not a big tomato lover), they were yummy for the most part and very filling! I even refrigerated them and reheated in the microwave the next morning.
An Amazing St. Lucian Adventure
Recently I was lucky enough to spend an amazing week in St. Lucia with my mom. We booked the trip a couple of months ago on a whim but it was truly amazing!
We stayed at the Ladera Resort which was situated between the two pitons (mountains) on the island. The pitons are a Unesco World Heritage site and after spending a week looking at them I can see why! The Ladera Resort was amazing with only twenty four or so rooms. Each room was ornately decorated and only had three walls. That’s right three walls. The fourth was completely open to the elements but the hotel as engineered so expertly that you never noticed it. Falling asleep every night to the sounds of the island was once in a lifetime.
In addition to the accommodations, the food at the resort was by far some of the best I’ve ever had. Every morning we were treated to fresh island fruit, rain forest juice, and baked island breads and pastries. Dinner was also tremendously good. The homemade ice cream was unlike anything I’ve ever had.
Although I was sad to leave, I was excited to get home and get started on all kinds of summer projects! Stay tuned for more:)
Remember Fashion is Fun!
So many times we get caught up in what other people will think about us when we are picking out an outfit. Am I in style? Am I wearing this trend correctly? But that’s not the point at all. The point to getting dressed every morning is to express who we are through our clothing choices. Fashion is a creative outlet and we need to use it. Not as a way to conform and impress others, but as a way to express who we are to the world around us. So next time you are debating between which necklace or scarf to add to your ensemble, make sure you don’t worry about what others will think. Have fun with it!
Clinique Girl
Like most women, I have had the problem of not sticking to one makeup brand. I spent years trying different concealers, foundations, and primers trying to find a company that does well with all categories of products . After a lot of struggling I turned to the Clinique counter one day for help. I have never looked back. I was first introduced to the brand with their three step skincare line and having a lot success with that, I decided to try their makeup. I loved it. One of the main reasons I love Clinique so much is how easy their products are to layer and how easy they are to use with other products. Clinique is also great for those who are just getting into using makeup more seriously. In addition to all of that, their customer service is great. Most of the woman at my Clinique counter remember me by name and are always willing to answer my endless list of questions and are patient with me when I ask them to try a multitude of different products on my face. Now here we are and I get countless emails a day from them, trying to get me hooked on more and more of their products. Most recently they had a promo of free shipping and two free Clinique Happy Fragrance samples in addition to the normal sample that comes with any purchase. Immediately I was racking my brain for things I could possibly need. I decided on replenishing my bottle of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion and trying out the Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour in Flowering Fressia. Of course they were shipped in beautiful packaging and arrived promptly within the next couple of days. I was thrilled and the products were amazing, as always.
